- Help File
-
- Please check our website (www.accessdata.com) for file updates, including a
- updated help file with tips on using Password Recovery Toolkit.
-
- OLE Compound Documents
-
- When identifying OLE documents (such as MS Word & Excel), which are compound
- documents that can have additional embedded documents, only the main
- document gets identified. It has been our experience that embedded
- documents are not encryted. If being able to identify embedded documents is
- desirable, please contact support@Accessdata.com and include an example
- document.

- *** Password Project ***
-
- We need your help!
-
- In an effort to improve our product and meet the needs of Password Recovery
- Toolkit users, AccessData constantly researches better ways to recover
- passwords. In order to perform this research we maintain an extensive
- database of passwords. We would like you to help by providing us with
- passwords you encounter using Password Recovery Toolkit.
-
- The simplest method of providing AccessData with these lists is to send your
- recovered password files (ADPassword.dat) as email attachments to
- PasswordProject@Accessdata.com
-
- As always, submitted passwords will receive the confidentiality users expect
- from AccessData as we work together to make a better product.
-
- *** Dictionary Project ***
-
- In conjunction with our Password Project, AccessData is asking for user
- submissions to augment our 900,000+ word dictionaries used in brute force
- attacks. We would like you to send us lists of words that you think should
- be included in our dictionaries. These may include English as well as
- other foreign language words lists that you think would improve our attacks.
- Submit lists to DictionaryProject@Accessdata.com
-
- *** Localized Versions ***
-
- Password Recovery Toolkit 5 allows the use of different foreign language
- interfaces by using language modules. Upcoming modules include Spanish,
- German, French, and Italian. In addition, modules for Chinese, Japanese,
- and Korean are also planned. You can help improve our foreign language
- editions by participating in the AccessData Dictionary Project.
-
- If you have particular interest in these modules please email
- support@AccessData.com for updated information.
-
- If you have problems with this product or wish to submit a request for a new
